Platform for the promotion of reading culture
The Europe Readr digital platform is the leading cultural promotion project of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The purpose of the virtual library, which offers readers a free selection of books, is the international promotion of European culture or literature in the 24 official languages of the European Union. For this unique project, we have designed and developed a modern comprehensive graphic image and a website in Slovenian and English. The virtual library consists of 27 books, the main theme of which is “The future of living”. Each member state shall be represented by one work, available in the original language and in English. Users can read the books free of charge on computers or mobile devices.

A long-term pan-European project
The Europe Readr Virtual Library is accompanied by numerous events in cities around the world, where public spaces will be set up for reading and sharing ideas. All events are also presented in a transparent manner on the website. A specific feature of the project is that, after completion, the content can be archived in the "Historical Projects" section, and the administration of the website is continued by the next presiding member. The website has been prepared in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites Act, which dictates that websites must be accessible to the blind and visually impaired (AA guidelines).
